One of our most popular services in recent years has been installing bespoke media walls, with outstanding customer feedback.
Media walls are essentially a wall that is specifically built to house your TV and other audio and video equipment (such as Sky boxes, games consoles and speakers) as well as a wall-mounted contemporary electric fire.
Many customers also add LED mood lighting for maximum impact and we can even incorporate additional storage space such as shelves, cupboards, drawers or illuminated alcoves.
Many new build homes don’t have fireplaces and this has taken the media wall trend to a new level! Instead of fixing a TV to an existing wall, homeowners often opt to build media walls to house both their TVs and electric fires, creating an Instagramable focal point in their living space.
The great thing about modern electric fires is that you don’t need to worry about any damage to your valuable audio visual equipment. You don’t even need a chimney breast or fireplace as advances in the design of electric fires, together with the slimline nature of flat screen TVs, mean that media walls don’t need much depth for installation.
Typically, we create a fake chimney breast out of stud partition walls to provide a stunning focal point and provide the necessary depth to recess the electric fire and digital equipment, as well as hiding all the various wires within the wall. The clean finish and absence of messy wires is one of the key attractions of media walls.
We supply all trades to make the process as smooth as possible from design to completion including all electrical and plastering work. We also partner with a local supplier of contemporary electric fires and are more than happy to share our tips and experience from the many installations we have carried out.

Our media wall and related services include:
- Full Media Feature Wall design and installation incorporating wall mounted TV and electric fire, with all cables neatly hidden.
- All related trades to ensure your dream Media Feature Wall is fully finished including electrical, plastering and decorating (though typically most customers prefer to arrange or undertake their own decorating)
- Typically, we request that customers source their own electric fire as this is a very personal decision – however we are more than happy to offer advice, to recommend a trusted local supplier, and to install the fire.
- We can also install electric fires without the TV if required, or undertake basic TV wall mounting only.
- We also offer a full range of complementary home improvement services including bespoke wall panelling as well as stylish real wood, laminate and LVT flooring.
